Quantum dynamics of the Brans-Dicke field has been studied in hyper-extended inflationary models. A general expression for the density perturbations arising out of such quantum fluctuations has been derived and used to evaluate the density perturbations for the special case of constant omega (extended inflation) and shown to be consistent with the standard analysis. A simple model of hyper-extended inflation is also considered.
