We propose to obtain deep g- and r-band Blanco/MOSAIC imaging of three optically-rich and X-ray bright clusters, Abell S0592, Abell S0295, and RXC J0217.2-5244, that have been selected based on their detection by the Atacama Cosmology Telescope (ACT) in the Sunyaev- Zel'dovich effect (SZE) at 145 GHz. The clear signature of the SZE is being used to produce a unique sample of galaxy clusters defined only by a lower mass limit and essentially independent of distance. Here we target clusters at fairly low redshift (0.22 < z < 0.34) with an immediate goal of obtaining accurate mass estimates through weak lensing. This project forms part of our larger study of some 30-40 ACT SZE-selected clusters, including a number at high redshift (using VLT/Gemini), with the goal of observationally determining the relationship between SZ flux and cluster mass.
