Data from solar cycle 20 are examined which confirm the previously discovered difference in the behavior of geomagnetic activity in even- and odd-numbered solar cycles. The existence of 21- and 84-yr cycles in geomagnetic activity is indicated, and long-term data are analyzed which demonstrate a relation between geomagnetic activity and solar-wind velocity. It is predicted that the next maximum in solar-wind velocity should be expected in 1994, 1995, or 1996.
