The fine structure of ion fluxes and electric-field oscillations near the earth's bow shock is analyzed on the basis of Prognoz-8 data. The periodicity of ELF bursts with a period of the order of the proton gyroperiod points to the fact that reflected ions are the source of the observed turbulence. The dispersion of oscillations in the bursts makes it possible to plot a dispersion curve similar to that for magnetoacoustic oscillations, and to determine the scale of the observed phenomena. Small-scale nonlinear structures with depressed plasma density were observed along with saturated high-amplitude ELF oscillations.
