We have made new photometric and spectroscopic measurements of the seven hottest turnoff stars in the old open cluster M67. These stars fell near or within the turnoff gap in the intermediate-band photometry of Fan et al. (1996), but are found at the very tip of the hook feature at the turnoff in our VI photometry. This makes these stars important in delineating the exact shape of the fiducial line of the cluster. We find that all of the stars have radial velocities consistent with cluster membership, low rotation rates (< 10 km/s), and detectable lithium lines, which differentiates them from the cluster's blue stragglers. We present a new calibration of BVI photometry for the cluster, and will discuss the implications for the stellar physics governing the cores of stars slightly more massive that the Sun as they begin to evolve toward the red giant branch.
