Photometric and spectroscopic data are described for the tight, blue group of interacting galaxies VV 644. This group represents a nest consisting of six compact galaxies. The estimated parameters of the nest are: mean radial velocity, + 3704 km/sec; velocity dispersion, 44 km/sec; diameter, 15 kpc; absolute photographic magnitude, - 20.2 m; mass, 1.2 x 10 to the 10th solar masses; ratio M/L = 0.27. VV 644 is remarkably similar to the object VV 645.
