80 galaxies, selected from Schmidt telescope sky surveys, have been observed spectroscopically. Most of the galaxies show conventional absorption line spectra, but 15 emission line galaxies have been discovered - these include five 'near Seyferts' (four of them have Fe II emission lines). There is also a case of a possible blueshift of 1500 km/sec.
