Scientific paper

The paper discusses the possibility that some sudden ionospheric disturbances (SID) observed in the ionosphere, are not of solar extreme ultraviolet origin (XUV). Long time SID observations at the Panska Ves Observatory (Czechoslovakia) show though that such peculiar events are rare (1% of all SIDs), weak, and most of them are reported only by Panska Ves. Some evidence that SWF effects only are of corpuscular origin is presented.
