A uniformly accelerated rod as a model of the black hole neighborhood is studied. It is shown that it is possible to build a quantization procedure in the accelerated system so that the field Hamiltonian remains hermitian as it must be in case of coordinate transformations. The absence of the heat background of the field excitation in the uniformly accelerated system is obtained as a result.
