This thesis reports on a search for arc minute scale anisotropy in cosmic microwave background radiation observed from the South Pole during the austral summer 92-93. The telescope operated with a 50mK bolometric detector, using a single mode waveguide, over a bandwidth of 30 GHz, centered at 90 GHz, where the emission from the known celestial foreground sources is at a minimum. The differential measurement was made using a cassegrain telescope, with the subreflector spinning about the primary axis. This technique gives small offsets in the second harmonic, and is sensitive over a wide range of angular scales. Descriptions of the instrument, the observation and the data analysis are presented. The telescope reached a level of Delta T_ {rms} ~ 11mu K after 85 hours of integration time. Preliminary analysis assuming a gaussian correlated fluctuation yields the correlation coefficient {Delta T over T} = 1.5 times 10^{-5} at 8 arcminutes. This is the lowest limit ever reported at this angular scale.
