Scientific paper
HST has helped to demonstrate that Blue Stragglers concentrate strongly towards the centers of Galactic globular clusters. We are proposing to use HST in "snapshot" mode to determine whether Blue Stragglers also exist in large numbers in the populous Magellanic Cloud clusters; whether they, too, congregate in their cluster cores; and how the numbers and central distribution vary with cluster conentration and age. The same images' color-magnitude diagrams will be used to search for binaries in the populous clusters, and to determine if the dearth of red giants in Galactic globular cores is also seen in the cloud clusters. Our sample of clusters will be chosen to span a wide
