RTG's for future deep space missions require lower output power, longer mission durations and lighter weight designs than have flown in the last 20 years. Some missions may require the RTG's to operate in a hostile planetary environment. New and innovative RTG concepts will be required to meet these new and challenging requirements. This paper will focus on RTG concepts for the Pluto Fast Flyby and Mesur Missions and will also include the characteristics for a modular RTG design that covers a power output range from -15 watts to 100 watts at beginning of mission (BOM).
