The lectures covered aspects of atmosphere and climate, oceanographic effects, sea and land ice and land processes, including both surface effects and deep seated movements of the solid Earth. The theoretical lectures were supplemented by presentations on present and future remote-sensing satellite systems, specific instrumentation for monitoring relevant parameters, modeling and forecasting aspects and data management.
