A search was begun several years ago to identify new type II Cepheids among variables found in large sky surveys. Many of the candidates turn out not to be Cepheids based on new photometry. Determining the nature of these stars will require spectra. We have obtained spectra for many of these stars and have been awarded observing time in January 2009 at Kitt Peak to continue the project. This request is for additional time to finish the observations and, in particular, to cover the portion of the sky not available in January.
