We provide evidence that the small scale magnetic field fluctuations of the middle Jovian magnetosphere which are embedded in the strong background magnetic field B0 of Jupiter can be described in terms of weak magnetohydrodynamic turbulence. For these fluctuations, we identify for the first time a spectral index of minus two for wave vectors perpendicular to B0. These results strongly support theoretical developments for weak MHD turbulence, in particular the characterization of anisotropy in such flows. This result might have also interesting consequences concerning transport properties in the Jovian magnetosphere itself.
