We present a method of using past data in wavefront estimation for adaptive optics systems. We analyze open-loop wavefront sensor data from the Palomar 241 actuator AO system, recorded at a frame rate of 100 Hz. By utilizing simple visualization methods and mutual redundancy techniques developed to inspect chaotic dynamical systems data, we look for the best predictors of the next wavefront sensing data frame, given the past few data frames. This technique is aimed at quasi-real-time, off-line analysis of wavefront sensor data in order to improve wavefront reconstructors during an observing session. In addition, results from such analyses could impact the hardware implementation of wavefront reconstruction algorithms.
