Using magnetometer observations aboard Explorer 35 orbiting the moon, an
upper limit for the net flux of the moon is given as
1.1×1011 Mx. Assuming that monopoles are trapped in the
moon and are predominantly of one sign, this equates to an upper limit
of roughly 6×10-33 net monopoles per nucleon.
