Population densities of vibrational levels of triplet excited states have been calculated using a collisional-radiative model applicable to nitrogen gas discharges with a Maxwellian electron energy distribution. Relative contributions of various electron impact and radiative processes, including intrasystem cascade, to the total cross sections of the triplet excited states are investigated.
