Sparse Aperture Masking (SAM) is offered to the community on NaCo at the
VLT since period 82. We will present the physical implementation of the
mode on site. We will show theoretical simulations and explain how this
mode can be used for faint companion detection. This paper will end with
a discussion about recent exciting detections.
