Photographic UBV photometry carried out by Johnson and Morgan for 1500 stars brighter than V = 16.5m in the region of NGC 2236 is examined. Based on this photometry, the following cluster characteristics are determined: the H-R diagram, the cluster size, the extinction of light in the direction of the cluster, and the distance. The luminosity function of the cluster is obtained, and its age and mass are estimated.
