The nature of the distribution of various compounds of hydrogen and oxygen found in outer space and on bodies of the solar system is described. Emphasis is placed on the water of earth which is analyzed from various viewpoints. It is both very common and of absolute necessity, is insufficiently studied and the cause of huge disasters. Natural water, and its physico-chemical properties, quantitave evolution, dynamics, energetics, origin and formation are considered.
