The enigmatic supersoft X-ray sources (SSS) are known to be close binaries undergoing very rapid mass transfer onto a compact star. SSS show complicated light curves resulting from both orbital and persistent short-term fluctuations, very high excitation emission lines, and spectroscopic evidence of mass outflows in bi-polar jets. We propose a series of simultaneous photometric and spectroscopic observations of RX J0925-47 to help understand the origin and physical conditions causing these phenomena.
