The properties of compressed matter consisting of superdense nuclei are examined, with allowance for the presence of a pion condensate. Calculations are performed for two alternative sets of nuclear interaction constants, one giving superdense, superbound nuclei, while the other gives metastable superdense nuclei. The analysis is carried out for collapse occurring in both complete and partial equilibrium. Configurations are calculated for white dwarfs composed of superdense, superbound nuclei.
