We present biosignatures-based, e.g., Lipopolisaccarides biomass as
proxy for habitability potential in clays from arid/hyperarid desert
analogs (Atacama, Death Valley). The MSL11 mission will focus on
phyllosilicate minerals as targets for past/present life.
