The shift parameters for both self- and foreign-gas-broadened lines in the ammonia-inversion spectrum are calculated using the many-level convergent approach developed by Cattani (1990). Good agreement between theory and experiment is noted in the NH3-NH3 and NH3-OCS cases, and the results confirm the importance of both inversion and rotational transitions in lineshift estimates.
