First, we describe what this activity is NOT. Proposal 9021 was formerly entitled "SBC Detector Mini-Functional". However, it was realized that proposals 9008 {ACS MAMA Initial Turnon and Anomalous Recovery} and 9009 {ACS MAMA Fold Analysis} validate all MAMA functionality. There was nothing left for a mini-functional. Hence, this proposal has been retitled "SBC Filter Wheel Checkout" and its sole remaining purpose is to command the SBC Filter Wheel to each of its positions in both directions of motion and verify {via the mechanism's positional encoding readout} proper execution of the commands.
