The high correlation of the optical and IR flickering of 2A311-227, indicating that in this object the dominant source of cyclotron radiation at both optical and IR wavelengths is the same accretion column, is reported. The light curves are shown along with autocorrelation (ACF) and cross-correlation (CCF) functions of the filtered data. The peaks in the ACFs show that flickering is present in both optical and IR light curves. The similar peak in the CCF indicates that a substantial amount of the flickering is correlated between the IR and optical light curves. The observations indicate that the bulk of the cyclotron radiation at both optical and IR wavelenths originates from the same magnetic pole of the white dwarf. Since the X-ray light curve of the source is very similar to that in the IR, it is probable that the X-rays also originate from the same pole.
