The scope of the study is (1) to qualitatively explain the elemental distribution which occurs during solidification within a chemical group of iron meteorites, (2) to determine equilibrium distribution coefficients for the solidification process, and (3) to understand the development of secondary phases during the solidification of iron meteorites.
