In spite of space probes, the observation of the solar system from Earth is still of great interest thanks to the Space Telescope, but above all to adaptive optics. The author illustrates this with one example: the observation of Saturn during the crossing of the ring plane by the Earth. Observations made at the CFH telescope with the University of Hawaii adaptive optics system have revealed new objects orbiting along the F ring that were unseen by the Space Telescope.
