We propose a deep XMM-Newton observation of the negative latitude region in the Galactic center. We discovered diffuse emission with ROSAT at the same direction as jet-like structures found by Chandra. Then with ASCA, we found that the spectrum exhibits thermal emission and hard tail which may be nonthermal radiation from high energy electrons. Thus the X-ray radiation indicates the presence of strong shock in this field. We will observe the temperature and the brightness distribution of the diffuse emission, and verify the jet from Sgr A*. It would be evidence that the quiet massive black hole in the nucleus was very active in the past. We also obtain the physical parameters of thin thermal plasma apart from the Galactic plane.
