A narrow line, with the centroid energy shifting from 5.7 to 5.9 keV on a timescale of 10 ks, has been discovered in the Jan 2001 XMM-Newton observation of the Seyfert 1 galaxy ESO198-G24 (Bianchi et al. 2003a). The feature was already present in the XMM-Newton observation of this source performed two months before (Guainazzi 2003), but in that case the exposure time was too short to search for energy shifts. The most likely interpretation of this feature is in terms of a redshifted iron line produced in a small spot (possibly due to a very localized magnetic flare)on the accretion disc; similar features have been observed also in NGC~3516 (Turner et al. 2002). An intriguing explanation for the centroid energy shift is that the spot is corotating with the accretion
