The Super-Kamiokande experiment has provided us with robust evidence for muonic-tauonic flavor oscillations of atmospheric neutrinos, generated by standard mass-mixing terms. It is shown that nonstandard oscillating terms, possibly generated by quantum gravity effects or by violations of relativity principles, are strongly constrained by the current neutrino phenomenology.
