Telemetry signals from two geostationary satellites are recorded and analyzed to study the plasma-bubble dynamics at the equator. The satellites are almost aligned along a common geomagnetic meridian and are located 20 deg apart in longitude. The 4-GHz telemetry signals are recorded simultaneously and used to estimate east-west plasma-bubble irregularity drift velocity, and the systematic time difference in the onset of postsunset scintillations is used to evaluate the plasma-bubble rise velocities. Nocturnal variation is noted in the east-west plasma-bubble velocities, and plasma-bubble rise velocities appear to affect some mean velocity values. Although the data are shown to differ from other datasets primarily due to vertical shears in plasma zonal flow, the present method yields good information on equatorial plasma-bubble dynamics.
