We study the problem of non-integrability of cosmological dynamical systems. They are given in the form of an indefinite Hamiltonian dynamical system with the indefinite kinetic energy form. It is demonstrated how the standard methods of Ziglin and Yoshida work when applied to study systems of cosmological origin. As an example we discuss the dynamics of a class of two-dimensional dynamical systems describing the cosmological models with a scalar field. It is shown that Liouville non-integrability is a generic property of considered systems.
