A quick view of the CMB session is shown together with a very brief review of CMB in §1. Detailed discussions of each contribution should be found in their contributed papers. In §2, an attempt to find a trace of the galaxy formation process in anisotropies of cosmic microwave background (CMB) is made. Since the galaxy formation epoch can be hardly seen by direct optical observations, this epoch is named as dark ages in the history of the universe. However, CMB reached us all the way from the recombination epoch of hydrogen atoms through the dark ages. Therefore there is a chance to find imprints of dark ages in CMB. It is believed that the UV lights from massive stars and AGNs reionize the intergalactic medium of the universe in the early epoch. Such an ionized medium produces anisotropies in CMB by their bulk motions. It is shown that we can obtain information of the reionization process such as the escape fraction of UV photons from galaxies into the intergalactic medium and the epoch of reionization by using the power spectrum of CMB anisotropies.
