Low-latitude Pc 3 magnetic pulsations have been observed using standardized rulfmeters stationed at Moshiri, Japan, and Birdsville, Australia. Analysis of the measurements showed that the amplitudes of low-latitude pulsations having 20 min-1 hr duration changed at the same time at both stations. Diurnal variations in the amplitudes of Pc 3 pulsations were related to change in the shaded and sunlit ionospheres. A possible mechanism of Pc 3 pulsations in the plasmasphere is proposed.
