Current and future neutrino oscillation experiments (eg NOvA) require a much better understanding of the neutrino neutral current cross section. NOMAD, a former neutrino oscillation experiment, has the largest high resolution neutrino nucleon scattering data sample available. The effort towards this cross section measurement will be presented, in particular the likelihood method used to select the neutral current events.
