We would like to propose Chandra ACIS-S follow-up observations of some of the most extreme X-ray variability events ever recorded among galaxies. RXJ 1420+5334 exhibited a giant-amplitue flare during ROSAT observations. Here, we will determine its precise position and optical counterpart and its post-flare evolution. RXJ1242-1119 showed a drastic decrease in source flux during our first Chandra observation. We propose a second observation as part of a monitoring campaign, to measure the further decline in source flux predicted by tidal disruption models.
