A trajectory analysis of air parcels for the Southern Hemisphere winter is performed based on data collected between July 21 and July 31, 1983. Twelve levels between 50 and 1000 mb are analyzed, and trajectories are calculated with horizontal winds and vertical velocities derived from the horizontal winds. A low-dispersive region is found around 60 deg S and poleward in the lower stratosphere which is suggested to be related to the low ozone density over the Antarctica in winter.
