All Henry Draper (HD) objects in the LMC region, classified as of O, P and PEC in the old Harvard system, have been identified in catalogues of modern MK spectral types (for stars), or on photographic atlases and charts (for clusters and emission nebulae). More accurate positions and precise identifications are provided for a number of HD and HDE objects lying in crowded clusters and regions of bright H II emission, and charts are also provided for these objects. The notes point to faulty cross-identifications in the HD itself, and also some notable misidentifications in recent publications.
