After a brief review of reconnection in resistive MHD, the talk will focus on quasi-collisionless reconnection processes within the framework of 2-fluid theory, which is relevant for many laboratory plasmas and, within limits, also for astrophysical systems. Two dimensional and three dimensional numerical simulation of flux tube coalescence and flux tube reconnection as well as of turbulence will be presented.
