Scientific paper

The nucleosynthesis constraints on primordial magnetic fields and the magnetic moments of standard model neutrinos are studied. It is shown that, for realistic seed fields, substantial restrictions are obtained on the size of both the direct and transition magnetic moments of Dirac neutrinos, which in the standard model can be directly translated to bounds on the neutrino masses.
