Charged particle motion in electromagnetic fields in a drift approximation is considered. The non-Cartesian coordinates were introduced by canonical transformations. These coordinates correspond to a magnetic field configuration represented by the Euler potentials. The normalization of the Hamiltonian and transformation to the action-angle variables are made. The drift Hamiltonian describing particle guiding center motion in the second-order approximation is obtained. Particle motion in a dipole field is considered.
