A near infrared image tube, a 1- to 5-micron photometer, a 5- to 20-micron photometer and a Fabry-Perot interferometer have been adopted as the infrared instrumentation for a 1.2-m telescope installed at the Calar Alto observatory in Spain. Similar instrumentation is planned for a 2.2-m and a 3.5-m telescope to be installed at the same site. All the photometers employed in conjunction with the 1.2-m telescope are provided with focal plane choppers, since it was not possible to equip the telescope with a chopping secondary. For the larger telescopes chopping secondaries are being designed.
