The magnitude-redshift and angular diameter-redshift relations are discussed for matter- and radiation-filled Universe models with a non-vanishing cosmological constant. The inclusion of homogeneous pressure into the energy-momentum tensor gives larger deceleration parameters in comparison with dustlike cosmological models. It changes the slope of the magnitude-redshift and angular diameter-redshift relations and leads to brightening of distant sources as well as to an increase in their diameters at the same value of the density parameter. However, this effect is smaller than that due to the luminosity and linear-size evolution of distant objects with time.
