Theories which include extra dimensions and bulk singlet neutrinos provide an elegant mechanism for generating small neutrino masses. Some implications of this type of model for nuclear physics and astrophysics will be discussed. In particular, nuclear beta decay can be used as a test of this scenario. Constraints can also be derived from astrophysical limits on the neutrino magnetic moment.
