An analysis is made of the limiting characteristic of the incoherent accumulation in a telescopic synthetic-aperture radar: i.e., the dependence of increases of signal-to-noise ratio on the observation conditions. Increases of SNR in the 2-10 range in telescopic SAR systems have been found, leading to a dramatic improvement in the quality of the radar image of an observed surface.
