UBV photometry and spectral observations carried out in 1984 - 1985 for Nova PW Vul, which had the burst in August 1984, are presented. It is found that in 1985 the brightness of PW Vul decreased monotonously, being different from its strong oscillations in the first months after the burst. The decrease of brightness in 1985 was accompanied by a shift of UBV colours towards to the red. Spectral observations carried out two days after the maximum in December 1984 reveal the evolution of the line spectrum typical of novae. Radial velocities are measured by means of absorption lines for principal and diffuse-enhanced systems.
