Solar Corona: Structure

Scientific paper

According to Helios-2 data, in the context of a model of the solar corona with a "bubble"-type transient, and considering the sector structure of the magnetic field of the Sun, an analysis is made of the Faraday rotation of a radio signal Λ traversing the solar corona. The electron distribution in the model considered is presented. Calculations are made of the dependence of Λ on a sighting parameter p and compared with the experimental data. The calculations of Λ(p) are in good agreement with the experimental data. This result is indicative of a realistic choice of the transient model.
