A numerical study is carried out to determine the heights of mirror points at L = 2, starting where multiple scattering significantly reduces the lifetime of high-energy (10-1000 MeV) electrons due to energy losses. Mirror points are defined as particle reflection points where the projection of the velocity vector in the direction of the geomagnetic field vector is equal to zero. The mirror-point heights are determined on the basis of a numerical solution of the equations of motion and energy losses.
